Mitsubishi releases LaserTV brand name - LaserVue
Today Mitsubishi has unveiled the brand name of its recently announced LaserTV which will be named LaserVue. According to Mitsubishi, the first-ever laser-powered television, LaserVue, will deliver a range of color never before seen in home entertainment.
“Today’s HDTVs display less than 40 percent of the color spectrum that the eye can see. Now, for the first time ever, laser produces twice the color. Laser beams provide the widest range of rich, complex colors, along with the most clarity and depth of field.” (Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, Inc.)
The LaserVue FullHD TV’s are supposed to be released in the third quarter of 2008.

Another must have: Lenovo’s Ideapad U8 MID
Lenovo has unveiled the Ideapad U8 at Intel’s IDF in Shanghai. The MID (Mobile Internet Device) features a 4.8-inch touchscreen display and comes with Intel’s latest ATOM processors (like many other devices at the moment). You can surf the web via EDGE or 3G and you will also be able to open and edit Microsoft Office documents but the OS might be Linux. Oh, I forgot something. Supposedly you will can even make phone calls with 12-key numeric pad - Bye Bye iPhone! Can’t wait to test one!
Take a look at the Eee PC killers
More and more Eee PC rivals hit the market. Today we’ll take a look at them. First we’ll start with the original, the Asus Eee PC. At the Cebit 2008 Hannover and the 3GSM Barcelona Asus introduced the new Eee PC 900 with Windows XP, Bluetooth and a 8.9-inch LCD display.

MSI Wind PC
MSI has introduced our first Eee PC rival at the Cebit 2008. There’s not a lot known about the UMPC but rumors say that the Wind PC will come with Intel’s ATOM processors and 1GB of RAM and optional SSD storage, the display will possibly have 8- or 10-inch.

Asus Eee PC Desktop Unveiled
HotHardware.com claims that they can present first shots of the upcoming Asus Eee PC Desktop. So far no further information about the specs can be given but Eee PC geeks have waited for this moment for so long. Now they can complete their their accumulation of “Easy to Learn, Easy to Work, Easy to Play” devices by an Eee Desktop solution.
The guys from HotHardware.com believe that Eee PC Desktop should hit the market some time in the next quarter.
